Supplier Development Manager
NE of England
£37-39K base plus car allowance and benefits

The Organisation
A leading national brand located in the NE of England.

The Opportunity
Reporting into the Supplier Performance Manager, this is a brand new position to make a significant impact and difference within the organization, currently going through a major change programme under the appointment of a new Head of Group Procurement.
Job Purpose
To provide practical guidance and leadership to support business SRM’s and Procurement Category Managers in managing their suppliers to improve performance in a regulatory compliant manner.
Main Responsibilities
1. Lead the business SRMs in the adoption of Supplier Management techniques to ensure adherence to policy and to deliver optimum performance
2. Develop a full understanding of all critical and important supplier relations including key risks and compliance requirements
3. Act as subject matter expert within Procurement in relation to the provision of supplier financial health data
4. Manage the relationships with SRMs and key business stakeholders
5. Support the SPM with the roll out of the Supplier Management framework and tools.
6. Monitor and record compliance to Outsourcing policy via: -
- auditing suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, policies and procedures required for industry compliance
- auditing SRMs to ensure compliance with the Outsourcing Policy
- development and delivery of reporting formats appropriate for Exec level and industry governance.
7. Lead resolution of all compliance failures relating to the Outsourcing Policy.
8. Continually review supplier categorisation and contingency arrangements across critical and important supplier relationships.
Your Background
You will be an experienced Supplier Development Manager working with experience of working within a service or manufacturing based business and eager to make a significant change in this new organisational structure.
