My client, a FTSE 100 global organisation is currently undertaking a procurement transformation programme, and a major part of this project is the implementation of a full ARIBA P2P system. The system will be used for purchasing all indirect goods and services on a global level. At present the implementation is in its early stages but once fully utilized the system will process an estimated 5000,000 transactions across a supplier base of 6,ooo+.

The ARIBA P2P Catalog Lead will be responsible for setting up electronic supplier catalogs on the P2P ARIBA system. You will coordinate with buyers, category managers and suppliers to ensure all catalog content is correct, including ensuring the pricing is accurate. A key area of this role will be to drive efficiencies through a fully functional automated solution across the business. Day to day responsibilities would include collecting and modifying catalog files from internal and external sources, obtaining approvals of all catalogs before activating in the P2P system, troubleshooting and enabling suppliers to electronically submit catalogs. This role is key to ensure that the P2P project is rolled out effectively and efficiently therefore attention to detail and a proactive attitude is essential.

Key areas -
  • Must have recent experience of ARIBA/SAP (latest version - min 2012 onwards)
  • Minimum of 2yrs experience in electronic catalog enablement for ARIBA P2P systems
  • Experience of CIF and punch-out catalogs
  • Proven track record in P2P procurement project management
  • Experience or ARIBA Procurement On-Demand (buyer)
  • Broad knowledge of spend management strategies/procurement/sourcing
  • Supplier Performance Management and on boarding
  • Experience or ARIBA solutions
  • Advanced excel and ability to analyse supplier spend data and provide recommendations for process improvement
  • Effective stakeholder management and engagement
  • Act as a key interface between the technical teams and the P2P procurement team
  • An effective and clear communicator who can present at board level
  • Extreme attention to detail – crucial for this role
