After continued growth and investment into the procurement function, my client is looking for a talented Assistant Category Manager to take charge of the general goods and services within the Indirect Procurement category of the organisation.

Client Details

My client provides a comprehensive high quality support service to the Commercial Property Management Sector, comprising of sector specialists including Facilities & Operations, Technical Services & Procurement, Marketing, Personnel, Health & Safety and Security, Cleaning and Maintenance staff.

Description

The Role
  • Managing a range of products across goods & services
  • Manage the supplier base within categories to ensure commercial performance of the category and develop profitable and innovative product ranges that meet customer expectations
  • Using competitor and customer research to identify ranging opportunities
  • Monitor sales and margin performance of the category
  • Building strong working relationships with marketing, buying, E-commerce, CRM & Insight teams to ensure successful performance within the category
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to co-ordinate category activity
  • Proactively drive self-development with Line manager using the performance development system

Profile

The Person
  • Highly motivated, good team worker with a flexible approach to work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience within General Goods and Services
  • Keen to learn and good at problem solving
  • Possesses the ability to work to meet deadlines
  • Desire to provide the highest level of service
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications
  • Able to analyse numerical data
  • Proven track record of communicating at all levels
  • Working knowledge of Contract law.
  • Desirable to have CAFM systems



Job Offer

My client is looking to offer a base salary of up to £32k plus competitive package with the role
