The Role Reporting to the Purchasing Director, you will:
• Take control of the selection, development and management of the supply base for production materials; • Develop appropriate strategies to ensure objectives are met with regards to pricing, cost reductions, quality and delivery performance; • Lead internal and external, cross-functional teams in a wide range of cost saving initiatives; • Prepare high value propositions including complex pricing structures and collaborative relationships;
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be working towards or possess a CIPS qualification, and have a wealth of experience of purchasing high volume, low cost components within a fast moving, manufacturing environment. You will demonstrate your ability to manage projects. Whilst previous supervisory experience is not essential, you must show the potential to lead a team.
