New Buyer role in Co. Down, £28,000+

Your new company
You will be joining a long established mechanical and electrical business operating as a leading building service contractor throughout the UK. They have made a significant impact within their market industry due to hard work, determination and investment. Over the next few years the company have developed growth plans to improve and sustain their leading reputation whilst rewarding their most important resource; the employees. Due to this development, the company are seeking an experienced Buyer on a full time permanent basis.

Your new role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager and working alongside a large team, the Buyer will be responsible for daily material ordering using internal MRP software and managing the complete end-to-end purchasing strategy on an individual project basis with a spend between £12 -£15 Million. You will focus on achieving a cost saving with UK suppliers whilst liaising with various teams such as Operations, Finance, Design, Logistics and Warehouse. Furthermore, you will determine material requirements for all projects, build relationships with key suppliers and aim to increase the efficiency of robust Supply Chain processes.

What you'll need to succeed
Your purchasing experience within a large construction, manufacturing or engineering firm along with examples of price negotiations, contract management, budget spend analysis and supplier performance management will lead to success. Also, you will have a proven track record of delivering on-time work to a high quality standard with experience raising material orders with MRP software and be competent in Microsoft Excel.
