As an Aftermarket Buyer, you will be responsible for all aspects of supplier control processes including the effective planning, buying and expediting of all material from a commodity portfolio. You will need to plan and forecast for each commodity while at the same time control inventory and working capital, a key part of this role is to support all new product requests from our customer base.

Description
  • Maintain & manage price lists
  • Ensure effective working capital control and management of inventory levels to control turns.
  • Order book management/scheduling in-line with inventory & MRP recommendations, provide supplier with forecast material demand where possible to achieve a consistent material flow & avoid backorders.
  • Be aware of department KPI’s and work towards targets.
  • Validate and place orders daily using MRP & inventory policy reporting etc
  • To participate with periodic stocktaking activity
  • To maintain a regular level of communication with all other departments to make all processes as efficient as possible.
  • To expedite any late material to enable VOR status is kept to a minimum

Profile
  • An ability to negotiate price points with suppliers for existing and new product ranges.
  • A good understanding of Sage Line 1000.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to daily issues with a resolution
  • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office.
