Based in Kent, the Buying Analyst will be working on a 15 month fixed term contract to support the strategic management of commodity purchases (and other goods and services), through effective data analysis, data mining, forecasting, excel programming and market research, with an objective to provide effective planning and supplier management.



Client Details

Our client is a global food manufacturer and a large supplier to the UK grocery market. They have qualified as a Sunday Times Fast Track 100 company for the past two years due to their annual sales growth in the UK. They are now seeking a Buying Analyst on a 15 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. This role is based in Kent

Description



The Buying Analyst will be responsible for;
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal customers and suppliers
  • Negotiating prices for the supply of goods and services, ensuring best value for money (including commodities, IT contracts and packaging etc).
  • Providing timely and effective statistical data analysis to support the development of procurement strategy
  • Conducting market research, identifying price trends, major market influences and potential future market movements
  • Regularly attending and presenting market updates to various internal and external customers
  • Improving existing business processes through excel programming
  • Storage planning and third party raw material warehousing
  • Assessing the risks and benefits of terms and conditions and advising the business where necessary





Profile
  • University degree
  • Advanced Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
