This global Financial Services firm is seeking two people to work within their Category Manager - Marketing area. You will manage global procurement across all areas of marketing but a background in digital is preferred.

As the Category Manager - Marketing you will support the Head of Procurement to deliver all key projects and departmental targets. This position requires Strong knowledge of supplier markets and all areas of marketing spend, particularly digital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The role is required to identify new outsourcing opportunities and assess their relevance and potential value to the organisation
  • On a global basis, direct and lead strategy and planning for a Procurement category to deliver competitive advantage for the business through cost savings, lifecycle value generation, demand management and innovation
  • Develop and maintain a global stakeholder network in a complex and dynamic business environment
  • Monitor the status of the category, and drive corrective action to ensure savings targets are achieved or exceeded
  • Constantly monitoring supplier market and identify opportunities resulting from new product offerings and/or market shifts
  • Ensure alignment with all key stakeholders within Procurement and the businesses on category decisions
  • Insure quality of content and compliance with relevant sourcing and category planning governance forums
  • Ensure that global agreements are established in accordance with the Global Procurement Policy
  • Significantly uplift the Procurement functions category management and sourcing capability

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Category Manager - Marketing role in a global and complex business
  • Excellent category management skills and experience in sourcing a broad range of good and services in relevant indirect category areas
  • Ability to commercially influence and drive business initiatives
  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience within Financial Services industry advantageous
  • MCIPS Qualified
