A permanent position within an innovative media organisation has arisen and requires a personable, engaging and motivated individual to add value to a skilled team.

Your Next Position

As Category Manager, you will spearhead the organisation’s procurement activities across a range of indirect categories, and deploy robust negotiation and communication skills to deliver effective savings across the group. Key responsibilities include:

•Conducting in-depth analysis of business and vendor spend to identify cost savings opportunities, in conjunction with developing an understanding of relevant markets to identify new ways to buy more effectively.

•Developing and implementing clear procurement objectives and category plans to ensure the successful delivery of business aims.

•Taking ownership of the tender process and running of RFIs/RFPs to strategically source value-add suppliers.

•Ensuring procurement activities adhere to organisational policies and procedure.

The Pre-Requisites for Success

You will have strong Category Management experience from within the private sector, whereby you will have displayed an ability to effectively influence internal and external stakeholders. You will also have taken the lead on multiple high value contract negotiations and be able to demonstrate sizable savings achievements. Furthermore, you will be proficient at identifying, assessing and mitigating commercial risks, ensuring operations comply with company and industry regulations. In addition, you will be passionate, driven and approachable, with a customer focused attitude.
