General Category Manager – Growth Initiative across the Organisation – Market Leading Company – £45000 + Flexible working

Exciting management change within a global organisation has grown their procurement function. Now, they’re looking for a General Indirect Category Manager to become a key player within the UK arm. This role offers autonomy with a dotted line to seniority, along with the chance to work within a market leading organisation internationally, suggesting future paths to multinational roles through internal promotion.

Responsibilities of the General Category Manager:-
  • Delivering Best in Class procurement across the function, creating savings that exceed targets through the implementation of impressive strategic category strategies that develop strong groundings for future supplier negotiations.
  • Liaising closely with account teams within your category to actively execute best practice strategic sourcing and vendor selection that upholds the progressive drive of the organisation.
  • Using commercial experience and proven financial achievements to concrete partnerships with vendors and suppliers to increase productivity within the financial outcomes of your procurement category.

Qualities of the General Category Manager:-
  • Strong communications and management in order to achieve leading commercial solutions, whilst integrating innovative sourcing strategies to maximise value and execute Best in Class procurement.
  • It is advantageous to have a procurement qualification or be studying toward CIPs.
