Category Manager: Infrastructure and Utilities – Iconic FTSE100 Leeds - £50k - £60k + Car + Bonus + Lucrative Package

This iconic, FTSE100 infrastructure and utility blue chip is undergoing an exciting period of Greenfield transformation following the initiative of an ambitious ‘Best in Class’ procurement vision. As such the Firm seeks a Category Manager with experience in the construction, infrastructure or utilities industry with expertise in sub contracts such as JCT, NEC3, FDIC to be a driving force in the achievement of radical transformation.

This blue chip have a phenomenal reputation for a meritocratic culture and reputation for promoting organically from within the Firm offers fantastic progression opportunities for progression. If you’re an aspiring procurement leader and Head of Procurement this could be the role for you.

Category Manager Procurement Responsibilities:
  • Knowledgeable in the construction industry, with a comprehensive understanding of subcontracts (JCT, NEC3, FDIC or equivalent)
  • Experience leading a procurement, contract, commercial team on successful projects in the construction, utilities, infrastructure, power or utilities industry
  • Creating, developing and executing key procurement strategies to push the business forward and meet procurement objectives
  • Liaising with major stakeholders and clients to ensure expansion

Ideal Procurement Background:
  • Proven track record of success in the construction, infrastructure, utilities, or power space in a procurement or contract management capacity large construction company
  • CIPS or RICS qualification (preferably)
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent people skills or background as a Quantity Surveyor
