Client Details

Outsourced Procurement Consultancy

Description
  • To develop specific strategic sourcing programmes/strategies for defined categories, across a number of clients, being the principle on specific/allocated portfolio of sourcing categories, and contributing significantly to the delivery of allocated procurement projects within key markets.
  • Deliver cost and efficiency savings across a large number of clients, by analysing current spend information to develop procurement strategies.
  • To ensure contract compliance across the procurement clients, pursuing procurement excellence through the implementation of efficient and effective procurement projects within key markets.
  • Principle activity in liaising with colleagues at all levels to ensure compliance in the use of agreements.
  • Identifies and works with other clients and stakeholders in the integration of purchasing/product service standardisation.

Works closely with the teams to ensure cohesive strategies in the delivery of products and services, standardisation of services etc – for example, products and services utilising in house agreements.

Profile

Essential Skills:

  • Public sector and European procurement knowledge and experience including negotiation skills, knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, knowledge of supply chain, contract law, dispute resolution processes
  • Ability to work as part of a team or in isolation
  • Time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and stakeholder influencing skills
  • Knowledge of procurement legislation
  • You will be immediately available and can commit to a 6-9mth fixed term contract assignment.
