Contingent Workforce Category Manager, Up to 9 month Interim role, London
Your new company: A major global company spanning six continents, my client has a deep understanding of their demand and the relevant supply markets. An innovative, fast-paced and performance-driven company, you will be working within a diverse, inclusive and international environment.

Your new role: As the Category Specialist for Equipment and Services, you will be focussing on the strategic category management of engineered equipment, materials and services associated with oil and gas development projects. You will be involved with progressing the strategic procurement for the Equipment and Services category. You will lead negotiations with rates and terms and conditions for contract renewals, as well as supporting the implementation of Supplier Development Plans.

What you’ll need to succeed: The successful candidate will ideally be CIPS qualified, with proven experience in procurement and commercial experience to include category expertise. You will have a thorough understanding of and experience in procurement category management. You will also need to have contracting experience to negotiate terms and conditions. You will have excellent leadership skills to be able to deliver decisions on a project effectively, as well as communicating positively with stakeholders. You will have expertise in the particular oil and gas industry or similar and ideally, you will have experience with SAP and Ariba one-source.
