Central Production Planning Co-Ordinator - Based Carlisle

  • Full-time, Permanent

The job opportunity:
Based at our Carlisle site and acting as a central point of contact for productivity, you will use your knowledge of supply chain and distribution management to improve the production and distribution process, ensuring we operate in a cost-effective way that still meets quality and time specifications.  BSW Timber is continually evolving and as a result this role will be key to developing all processes and supporting change through communication and training.

Specifically, this will involve:

  • Creating and managing master data and internal transfers on a daily/weekly basis, whilst supporting the management and development of group and site planning systems
  • Developing process flows, technical information and quality documentation, as well as training materials and SOP’s
  • Forecasting on sales demand and reporting on site performance

About you:

Ideally, we’re looking for an experienced Production Planner, with a practical working knowledge of multi-site production planning and stock control activities, which should be combined with:

  • A successful track record and related background in a similar operating environment, coupled with a positive, can-do attitude
  • The ability and know-how to prioritise, monitor and manage a busy workload in a fast-paced environment,
  • Strong organisation, communication and relationship building skills, including the confidence to liaise and influence colleagues, customers and suppliers
