Job Description
Buyer Opportunity – Richard Burbidge
Role Profile
Our client, a family owned company established 1867, have been passionate about the design, manufacture and supply of timber products for over 140 years, striving to bring new concepts using various materials to transform the home and garden.
They are now seeking an experienced Buyer to join their Purchasing team, playing a significant role in the business, ensuring value is added at every stage of the supply chain.
Skills & Experience
The selected candidate will be MCIPS qualified, with at least 4 years successful procurement experience in the Manufacturing industry, ideally having a familiarity with raw materials such as woods, metals and die casting, and will have had a great deal of exposure to international sourcing, ideally from in and around the Far East.
The candidate will demonstrate drive and resilience, with strong communication skills and be an effective relationship builder with both internal customers and external suppliers.
Client Profile
With over 300 employees, and a turnover around £30m, this organisation strongly supports the progression of their employees, and will be seeking someone who will be aiming to realistically progress internally to the role of Head of Purchasing
Remuneration
£30,000 + good package and benefits
