Senior Procurement Commodity Manager required for leading manufacture business in central London.

A 12 month Maternity Cover Procurement Manager job has become available in an industry leading manufacturing & technology company based in Central London. Your New Role

As Procurement Commodity Manager for the Direct spend, you will be responsible for the strategic delivery and procurement of key categories within the business such as direct materials, such as electrical components and services for all sites and subsidiaries. Not only will you be responsible for creating an approved suppliers database, you will also design a supplier performance platform and necessary action plan to ensure all suppliers are performing to the best possible capacity and efficiency. Being able to develop key stakeholder relationships is key to the success of this position, in order to gain commitment and buy-in from all areas of the business.

What You Need to Succeed In This Role

To succeed in this Procurement Commodity Manager job you must demonstrate previous procurement experience at a strategic level. Due to the complexity and wide-reaching element of this procurement role, you must have experience working with a multi-functioning team. Exposure to the end-to-end procurement cycle is key in order to gain maximum cost savings and efficiencies at every opportunity. You must be familiar with contract drafting and understand the complexities of contract legalities. As there may be some occasional international travel with this role you must be flexible for occasional oversees travel.
