The Role
As Interim GDPR Contracts Manager, you will focus on supporting the UKIMEA region and Corporate Services in ensuring that their third-party agreements, where the sharing and processing of personal data and sensitive personal data occurs, are GDPR compliant. You will be working closely with other members of the Procurement team and business representatives in identifying, assessing risk and successfully negotiating with vendors. The function has an open, collaborative partnering approach with stakeholders, which is of vital importance to the success of our projects. We focus on influencing not mandating, guiding not directing. Pragmatism and excellent communication skills alongside your proven technical purchasing and contract skills will allow you to represent the function and firm’s values at all times.

The main responsibilities of the role are to undertake:
  • Discovery and assessment of the condition of relevant third-party agreements
  • Confirm that the relationship involves the transfer/processing/storage of personal or sensitive personal data
  • Identify gaps in the contract in comparison to standard GDPR clauses
  • Keep fully up to date records as directed, via SharePoint or similar, of progress and project status, and also to facilitate future compliance
  • Supervising and supporting others in the team as directed
  • Liaising with functions, such as Legal and Finance, throughout the process

. Essential Skills, Knowledge and Aims.
  • Clear understanding of GDPR and similar Data Protection Regulations
  • Strong services procurement experience across a broad range of categories
  • A strong commercial knowledge of supply contracts is essential
  • Track record of successful supplier negotiations
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong excel and general IT skills
