An excellent opportunity for a Corporate Buyer - SAP to work on a 10 - 12 month FTC to then go permanent for a large FTSE 100 business. You will be working directly with the Supply Manager and Senior Buyer to assist the relevant business unit. You must have experience in a Buyer role with extensive SAP experience from the procurement module.

A FTSE 100 Energy & Mining business is currently seeking a Corporate Buyer - SAP to support the supply chain division team based in their head office in London. Reporting into the Global Supply Manager, with assistance from the Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for day to day activities utilising the ERP (SAP) system.

Key responsibilities:
  • Purchase goods and services in line with the business policies and procedures
  • Source non-contracted goods and services from reputable suppliers (with assistance)
  • Track, analyse and monitor supplier performance, escalating any issues
  • Identify new potential suppliers and provide on-boarding support
  • Advise on any process or supplier optimisation opportunities
  • Gather accurate performance data and report back to stakeholders
  • Administration when required (e.g.) Purchase Orders onto the system
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders regularly for end user assistance
  • Manage the master vendor data to update and check information
  • Ensure governance is adhered to

Key requirements:
  • 3 - 5 years’ in a procurement / supply chain environment in a Corporate Buyer role using SAP for reports and end user assistance
  • Degree educated would be advantageous
  • Must be process driven and able to pick up things quickly
  • Proven stakeholder management with excellent verbal and written skills
  • High attention to detail

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Buyer using SAP to work within a high performing procurement function that will enable you to gain invaluable experience in a role that will grow in responsibility once this has turned permanent.
