Cost Engineer – Initial 6 month contract – Engineering Procurement - £400 per day

A rapidly growing procurement & supply chain consultancy, on the back of new business driven by recent awards, are seeking to add commercially astute cost engineers to their expanding team. As a business driven by effective and pragmatic solutions characterised by an open and collaborative approach, suitable candidates will need to be engaging and enthusiastic about delivering additional value to clients from concept to delivery.

Experience within engineering environments will be advantageous, with exposure to building up cost throughout the manufacturing process. The role will see you building cost models and pricing analysis to support complex supply chain and procurement transformation programmes across industries including engineering, manufacturing, aerospace & defence, and automotive.

What skills and experience are required?
  • Strong experience in the comprehensive analysis of cost bases across supply chain functions and manufacturing environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to negotiate and implement new commercial strategies
  • Flexibility on travel
  • The ability to communicate at a senior level and present business and supplier plans

The initial engagement is likely to last for 6 months, following which either permanent employment or a lasting associate relationship will follow.
