Customer Service Manager Based in Staffordshire £25,000 to £30,000 + Benefits
Role Profile Our client is looking to recruit a Customer Services Manager to be based at their Staffordshire distribution centre. The duties of the role will include, but not limited to; • To provide a proactive communication link between the stores network and the National Distribution Centre delivering excellent communication and a store support service, exceeding all expectation. • To ensure there are robust and effective problem solving processes in place to provide the store network with timely and accurate support to any issues/queries that they may have. • Manage the Store Support Team – 5/6 people • Visit stores and liaise with Retail Development Managers to build relations, resolving any generic issues affecting stores and raising issues and successes with operational management. • Ensures the Store Support Team provide an effective, accurate and pro-active two-way communication link between stores and the NDC. • Assist the management team in conference calls to store, resolving issues arising and providing timely feedback. • Liaise with the Transport Team to monitor issues arising and provide stores with open, accurate and timely information • Monitor the progress of promotions and ensure stock and promotional material is delivered on time. • Identify poor service levels and take corrective action to restore excellent service. • Monitor call volumes and emails to manage workload and identify trends • Provide management information reports to monitor and improve service levels. • Providing a link between the NDC and Transport Team regarding late deliveries, overspill, and store issues/feed back. • Assist in maintaining the delivery schedule.
Skills & Experience • Experience of Customer Services within a distribution environment is essential • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • Numerate and IT literate with strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills • Must have experience of working in a demanding fast paced environment. Experience of Retail, FMCG or 3rd Party Logistics is advantageous • Tenacious, organised, and ability to problem solve • Strong influencing skills and ability to get stakeholders bought into ideas • Must be able to manage a team and promote a positive working environment
