The objective of this role is to create and maintain the highest quality demand plan possible and communicate effectively into the European Business.

Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Owner of demand forecast in the 0-24 month window. To challenge forecast and discover the assumptions that underpin the demand plan. Using understanding of the assumptions to call risk back to the business managing stakeholders within the finance team
  • Forecast, review weekly and change where required to keep as accurate and up to date
  • Analyse historical trends of sales to develop the demand plan
  • Provide update on forthcoming retailer activity e.g. new launches, promotions and feedback information accordingly.
  • Work closely with customers and the commercial team to aid forecast accuracy
  • Running Demand input meetings with the relevant account managers, creating documentation and agendas to focus conversations on most urgent issues.
  • Collation of data and reporting on sales trends and sales out data to support conversations and decision making around the forecast. Input forecast changes.
  • Preparation of regular reporting of the demand plan.
  • Running of forecast accuracy and forecast bias measure
  • Lead root cause analysis against low forecast accuracy and take corrective action.
  • Aligning the forecast to information on new products through our project management team and discontinuation of products according to their position in the product life cycle. Feeding back into category teams and challenging product development if forecasts do not match expectations.
  • Owner of demand planning process. Continuous improvement or process, stakeholder engagement and aligning of Demand practices for the regions
  • Running reports on stock availability and excess stocks including root cause analysis to provide accountability/emphasis on inventory.
  • Working with Supply planning team to review and update safety stocks utilising all known information.





Profile

*Must have previous experience working in a demand planning role ideally from within FMCG
*Experience working in a customer interfacing role
*Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
