My client, a global FMCG company, are seeking a Demand Planner / Demand Planning Manager to be based at their London office.

This role will have responsibility over the forecasting process for all my clients brands and products across EMEA

This position of Demand Planner/ Demand Planning Manager will offer the right candidate career progression within a dynamic and friendly working environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is currently within a Demand Planning / Forecasting role, with a passion for food and beverages and an eagerness to develop a career within FMCG.

Location - London

Salary - £35,000 - £40,000

Key responsibilities of the Demand Planner / Demand Planning Manager -

- Owning the forecasting process for all our brands and products across EMEA
- Implementing CPFR in the UK market collaborating with internal and external
stakeholders in order to achieve excellent forecast accuracy and service levels across
our customer base
- Becoming the link between EMEA and Global Operations
- Develop EMEA forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for
multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
- Drive and improve the overall forecasting process with focus on forecast accuracy, on
shelf availability and OTIF
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data,
generate statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results.
- Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system
tool.
- Work collaboratively with sales, customers, other areas of the operations and
marketing to create accurate forecasts maximizing accuracy for base, events and
promotions
- Lead monthly Demand Review Meetings per account to understand market
dynamics and strive for best-in-class demand signal
- Implement, lead and steer collaborative review meetings with customers supply
chain team becoming that number 1 point of contact whilst pro-actively challenging
our customer where required, becoming an advisor to our customers
- Coordinate cross-functional discussion to reconcile significant variances and refine
the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
- Regularly monitor stock levels and sales out to pro-actively manage and
communicate and future stock issues
- Create a Supply Plan for EMEA with Global teams based on the latest forecast
considering inventories, in transit shipments and production plans.
- Provide input to the Global Supply Planning organisation in developing inventory
strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
- Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
- Build annual budgets as part of the annual planning process

Key skills/experience required for the position of Demand Planner / Demand Planning Manager -

- 4+ years experience as Demand Planner / Forecaster or within a role that has an element of Demand Planning within.
- Commercially astute, good financial and analytical skills with strong data manipulation
knowledge
- FMCG/retail experience preferred
- Advanced Excel
- Knowledge and experience using ERP systems
- The energy and self-motivation to work within a small, rapidly growing business that is
going places
- Bachelor degree and at least 5 years of experience is preferred
- A passion & interest to work in the food and beverage industry
- Excellent communication skills to influence teams inside and outside the organization
