To deliver the agreed financial plans for the spare parts business, through effective product planning, forecasting and performance management.









Client Details

My client is a leading wholesale/distribution business based in Bicester

Description



  • Develop in conjunction with the Spare Parts Manager and all other Divisional Managers, a strategy that delivers a product portfolio that delivers net achieved margins, in line with the company’s overall business plans.



  • Analyse external competitor activity, marketing trends and external factors to identify future requirements and opportunities for product development.



  • Build stock targets that optimise working capital and product/service efficiency.



  • Review product sales, trends and profitability.



  • Implement plans for the clearance of discontinued and slow moving lines.



  • Work closely with other Managers in the Company, to share best practice and implement improvements.



  • To ensure the pursuit of Best Practice and continuous improvement through being fully aware of, and actively supporting at all times, company values, strategy, policies and procedures to enable the delivery of highly effective practices, and a safe and secure working environment.





Profile





• A graduate with an analytical degree, ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain or logistics.



• Financial planning (stock management)



• Forecasting



• Experience with or an in-depth understanding of Llamasoft Optimiza software would be preferred.



• Experience of spare parts distribution Automotive/consumer products.



• Basic engineering knowledge.



• Numerate and analytical



• Good verbal and written communication skills



• Planning and Organising/Prioritising Skills



• Commercially sound with a goods understanding of Profit and loss, able to work and delivery to KPI’s



• From a technical perspective, skills in MS Excel and MS Access are essential with any programming or SQL experience desirable
