An incredibly fast growing global FTSE250 firm are seeking a procurement professional to managed and lead their 500 million spend professional services function. This firm have completely restructured their procurement function within the past year and are looking to hire a best in class procurement professional with professional services experience to develop and lead category strategy. With an array of multi million pound projects in the pipeline you can expect to get involved and gain experience interacting and dealing with suppliers globally.

With this role you will be given the opportunity to build your own industry leading professional services category team. This is a greenfield procurement function so you can expect to gain major recognition and visibility reporting into the FTSE250 firm’s CPO. This FTSE250 firm are known to retain their staff and offer several perks such as: flexible working, bonus, modern state of the art offices and a wide range of company social events .

EMEA Procurement Services Procurement Lead Responsibilities:-
  • Manage a £500 million professional service spend ensuring new suppliers are brought on board and best for value solutions are provided by existing suppliers.
  • Develop the professional services long term procurement category with the potential to build your own team.
  • Gain responsibility for a global supplier relationship management programme for HR services with a focus on governance, innovation, compliance and environmental/social improvements.
  • Run tendors for various new systems including: core and flex benefits system, payroll provider, e-auction system and learning management system.
  • Build a world class professional services procurement function, mentoring and leading the team to success.

Key Skills & Experience:-
  • Showing consistent progression year on year within a blue chip organisation to a category manager role within a 7-10 year period.
  • Line management experience is required
  • Great procurement experience managing a large multi million pound professional services spend and delivering large savings.
  • Prior experience negotiating with major law, consultancy and audit firms gaining best for value services.
  • Great strategic commercial acumen with prior experience creating category strategy.
  • Degree 2:1 essential
  • CIPS desirable
