Facilities Category Manager – Derby – Wakefield – Luton - £55000 - £70000

Massive competitor in the UK travel industry seeks a principled decision maker to assume full responsibility for a holistic Category Manager position, focusing on Facilities Management and Property. The successful individual will be committed and tenacious in their contribution to the company’s Procurement objectives through delivering tangible evidence in terms of significant cost reductions.

Responsibilities of the Facilities Category Manager:
  • Develop and lead breakthrough business projects in spend categories through advanced category management tools
  • Drive significant, measurable and secure business advantages, exceeding year on year targets
  • Build supplier relationships with key vendors and service providers to deliver results-based business advantage
  • Work with internal customers to ensure category projects are executed on time and within budget
  • Grow working relationships with operational Purchasing Managers to ensure category strategies are delivered and effective at Operating Companies and business units

Requirements of the Facilities Category Manager:
  • Minimum 3 years Category Management experience using structured tools and principles
  • Strong skills in analytical, financial, and commercial negotiating
  • Ability to understand and solve complex and multifaceted business issues
  • University degree or equivalent, with CIPs qualification is highly desirable
