Description

Responsibilities
  • Ensure environment, health and safety standards are achieved on an on-going basis and actively promote individual responsibility for environment, health and safety.
  • Responsible for the physical appearance and safety of the working environment.
  • Actively promote and take responsibility for embedding a culture of employee engagement within the team, ensuring high levels of team morale.
  • Responsible for leading a team of individuals.
  • Ensure that the team delivers Key Performance Indicators, where this performance is sustained and continually improved, with focus on quality, performance and cost.
  • Ensure processes have a relevant standard operating procedure and that these are continually improved to drive improvements in quality and performance.
  • Utilise continuous improvement tools and techniques and support team members in their application to drive improvements in performance cost and quality.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate daily, weekly and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performance – in terms of quality, operational delivery, cost, environment health and safety and operationally.
  • Lead daily team meetings.
  • Manage the allocation of work on a daily basis, controlling headcount and overtime budgets and ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets met.
  • Promote flexibility through skills training and personal development.
  • Monitor team absence and performance, taking action where necessary.
  • Create and maintain an employee engagement culture, encouraging involvement from all team members.
  • Manage customer interfaces and expectations to ensure excellent customer service is received.

Profile
  • 3-4 Years’ Experience with WMS applications
  • Relevant industry experience (warehouse and logistics)
  • Experience of working within or have run warehouse depts.- Goods Inward, Replenishment, Picking, Dock Mgmt. and Despatch Depts.
  • Proven ability in delivering Operational KPIs
  • Proven ability to Manage Teams
  • Clear Leadership skills, energy and passion
  • Resource management
  • Performance Management
  • Excellent level of communication
  • Ability to work under pressure in a challenging and constantly changing environment
  • Flexibility and ability to deal with change and leading others through change
  • Lean methodology to drive continuous improvements across a team

Job Offer

The successful candidate will be offered a salary of up to £34,000 dependent upon experience.
