This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fleet and maintenance services team, based in the west midlands. You will play an important role in leading, managing and developing one of our key strategic Fleet Workshops within the region. You must have a NVQ Level 3 or above in a automotive related qualification.

Description



As a Workshop Manager you will be accountable for the performance of the Service Centre and for leading a team of 12 vehicle technicians and be responsible for leading them through transformation change and championing Continuous Improvement.



You will be responsible for delivering our customer service vision to our blue chip clients. In order to deliver this vision, our fleet workshops are opening their doors to the external commercial industry and the business is beginning the biggest transformation of its kind by expanding into new competitive markets.



Our business is going through a period of transformation, with this growth comes the need for the UK workshop network to begin a significant cultural and performance transformation which will see them operate commercially with profit and loss accounts, deal directly with external and internal customers and have the accountability to drive critical improvements in performance and efficiency.



The role of the workshop manager is critical in the delivery of the Fleet vision and of its need to deliver a cultural behavioural change amongst its maintenance teams that sees them operate commercially and efficiently.



Profile



You will be an experienced fleet maintenance manager with first and second line management experience in a similar environment, and have strong leadership skills and the ability to deliver results through people and have excellent stakeholder management skills.



Having relevant industry experience and knowledge of dispersed maintenance operations (or similar dispersed manufacturing, network, utility/ logistics/service organisations) you will also have experience in leading such teams through change and continuous improvement and a proven track record of growing a business.



You will have Accountability to drive profit based performance through managing commercially and for the achievement of all agreed targets through the use of effective performance management techniques and provide visible and effective leadership for Fleet Workshops teams and support staff.



Having excellent data analyst skills you will also have a good level of excel experience as well as financial acumen along with the ability to influence, build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders.,







Having knowledge of compliance requirements for vehicles and road transport legislation would be advantageous



A CPC, IOSH or Professional Motor Vehicle qualification or similar would be desirable

You must have a NVQ Level 3 or above in a automotive related qualification.

Ideally you will be educated to degree level.
