An aggressively growing consultancy firm is looking to continue their rapid expansion by taking on an FM Category Manager to join their growing procurement team. The organisation works with many of the UK’s most recognised brands, meaning you will be interacting with a wide range of senior procurement professionals on a day to day basis. As the company continues their exciting growth in their market, you will have the opportunity to progress even further in the organisation, and accelerate your procurement career.

In this role you will have a direct impact on the procurement strategy, and you will also be responsible for a growing procurement category, which is going to become increasingly important every year as the organisation continues to grow in their market.

As a Category Manager, you will:
  • Be working with C level stakeholders on a day to day basis, having input on key strategic decisions with your expert procurement knowledge
  • Have full autonomy over a vitally important procurement category, in charge of a multimillion pound spend that will grow year on year
  • Manage relationships with some of the most senior external stakeholders in prestigious UK brands, as well as building new relationships scratch with potential new suppliers
  • Play a vital role in the long term future of the procurement function by developing more junior members of the team into expert procurement professionals
  • Manage the entire cradle to grave process for critical tenders, some in the region of £150m, where successful negotiation will play a vital role in the profitability of the organisation

As a Category Manager, you will have:
  • Strong procurement experience within the FM category
  • A proven ability to be able to negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders, as well as important suppliers
  • Exceptionally strong commercial acumen
  • A degree or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential)

Key benefits of the role:
  • Excellent basic salary + unparalleled package
  • Full autonomy from day one
  • Great opportunities for flexible working
  • The chance to work with some of the UK’s leading organisation, across a wide variety of sectors
  • The opportunity to progress very quickly in the organisation

If you are procurement professional with a track record in FM, and want to join a growing organisation where you will have full responsibility right from the very start, as well as the opportunity to influence strategy at the highest level, this role is a great fit for you.
