Description



1 To actively participate in all aspects of the strategic and operational delivery of a class-leading foodservice procurement team, supporting the Foodservice Procurement Manager.



2.2 To be responsible for all associated administration tasks and record keeping necessary to ensure that all contracts and purchasing agreements are managed effectively and in accordance with professional purchasing practices.



2.3 Produce, analyse and advise upon, reporting required to effectively manage all aspects of the contracts and deliverables, including supplier KPI’s, market trends and purchasing savings.



2.4 Ensure that all rebate, uplift and supplier incentives agreements are maintained and maximised.



2.5 Establish and maintain effective personal relationships with suppliers and clients to ensure that all needs are met.



2.6 To be the operational link between the suppliers and the client anticipating issues and pro-actively resolving problems.



2.7 Work towards continuous process and service improvements. (Better/Faster/Cheaper)



2.8 Manage supplier catalogues and pricing variations via the appropriate processes and systems, including management of credits.



2.9 Assist in the delivery of tender management and compliance activities.



2.9 Comply with all relevant policies including equal opportunities, health & safety and safeguarding



2.10 To lead on and participate in special project work as defined by management



2.11 Any other duties commensurate with the post.



2.12 Observance of all local, corporate and legislative policies and procedures is required



Profile

Evidence of a strong experience in literacy and numeracy to minimum GCSE level
NVQ Diploma or equivalent experience in Business Administration or similar
Progressing toward MCIPS
Experience of developing, improving and growing strong customer service and commercial account trading relationships
Experience of working in a customer service position
Purchasing/procurement experience
Evidenced track record of working to and exceeding targets KPI’s
Excellent communication and telephone skills.
Excellent relationship development and management skills
Organised and methodical
Confident decision maker with the initiative to anticipate and solve problems independently.
Has impeccable standards around quality, service and presentation and a passion for the industry.
Positive, articulate and demonstrates a professional persona.
Highly computer literate, numerate and possesses excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise and meet tight and competing deadlines and work under pressure.
Ability to interpret, analyse, and produce
insight for business activities.
