General Indirects Procurement Lead- Global Technology Company

Role: Senior Category Manager

Location: Bristol

Industry: Technology/Engineering

Salary: £40k

These global technology experts are looking for a dedicated, like-minded, Procurement professional to join their Procurement function. The successful candidate will be expected to provide a Procurement service that is second to none – with a large emphasis on evaluating suppliers, bringing successful supply chain solutions and developing effective supplier relations.

The Procurement role will involve:
  • Working within a collaborative Procurement function alongside key stakeholders in order to develop Procurement strategy that meets business goals – such as hitting saving targets and improving supplier performance
  • Effectively manage suppliers – build and develop interpersonal relationships with new suppliers
  • Negotiating both strategic relationships with suppliers and areas of sourcing
  • End to end procurement – leading category management for the entire Procurement lifecycle

Key Skills:
  • Excellent evaluation and analysis skills in line with overarching business goals and targets – understanding the bigger picture, importance of delivery and risk allowing for improvements in performance
  • Very strong Procurement market knowledge including systems and infrastructure that allows for the best procurement practice
  • Commercial acumen and adaptability that allows for efficient time management and prioritisation
  • 5 or more years Procurement experience
  • Degree/MCIPS
