Exciting New Opportunity | General Manager (Logistics) | Based In Lutterworth | £90,000 OTE

Your new company
I am currently working exclusively with a global business who are looking to take on an experienced, successful General Manager to work alongside the Logistics Director, and oversee the mature operation at their Lutterworth site. The business operates as a market leader and has further strengthened its position through a recent acquisition, which increased global turnover by 20%.

Your new role
As the General Manager on site you will report to the Logistics Director and will lead key members of the management team, ensuring high standards are achieved for all stakeholders. Operationally a proactive nature will be needed to ensure daily departmental tasks and flows run smoothly. You will also analyse data and use this to drive performance through empowerment, delegation, and also by leading from the front.

What you'll need to succeed
Previous industry experience could include technology, automotive, food, pharmaceutical (where service delivery to the customer is paramount). You will have a strong successful track record of working at a management level (GM/ Senior Ops Manager, Warehouse Manager Etc.) within a blue chip / well established organisation (3PL experience or own account). You must be someone who is results driven, methodical, ambitious, a strong communicator and be able to work under pressure with a keen eye for detail. Typical accountabilities will include

- internal KPI’s & SLA’s
- Efficiency of resources utilised
- Cost Management
- Customer satisfaction
- Overall Operational Performance
- Continuous Improvements

You must be qualified up to degree level.

What you'll get in return
Salary on offer is £90,000 OTE, split between a basic salary and bonus which is paid quarterly.

Alongside the remuneration package, for the successful candidate there will be a progression plan in place to operate at board level in 3-4 years’ time
