Plan and develop in conjunction with the Operations Director the operational imperatives across the [link removed]re the seamless delivery against plan of these imperatives through leading, monitor and measuring operational issues that will deliver a high performing and engaging workplace environment. Description
  • Introduce PTA (Process, Train & Audit) across the organisation.
  • Develop a six-sigma culture to complement the business operating values.
  • Enable employees to understand core business processes and procedures.
  • Introduce written operating procedures into all areas of the site.
  • Lead the on-site teams.
  • Deliver compliance to best practice.
  • Deliver a best in class service to our customers.
  • Engage, retain and develop key employee resources across the site.
  • Maximise the potential of the operation through a strong commercial & financial focus.
  • Assess operational capabilities and ensure actions are implemented that meet company & customer needs across both P&Ls.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve operational processes, aligned to our growth strategy.
  • Champion identified Six Sigma projects across the business as required.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that IT operating systems are an engine for growth across the site.
  • Anticipate and react to changes in customer’s businesses in conjunction with the Operations Director.
  • Ensure delivery of business KPI’s agreed jointly with the Operations Director.
  • Ensure the site is fully resourced with appropriately skilled and motivated employees.
  • Ensure the site is fully compliant to the Company & legal Health and Safety requirements.
  • Achieve operational excellence in all areas of responsibility.
  • Identify the core processes that need to be documented across the business.

Profile

  • Experience of a similar role.
  • Up to date knowledge of the latest operational tools.
  • Significant logistics, Warehouse and production experience.
  • Leadership expertise.
  • Ability to prioritise improvement activities for greatest organisational impact.
  • Experience of introducing procedural compliance.
  • Experience of documenting procedures and managing the change required to ensure compliance to the newly document procedures.
  • Experience in leading management teams in applying the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology.
  • Experience in defining improvement projects which satisfy our customer requirements.
  • Experience of measuring inputs and outputs to provide meaningful data.
  • Ability to analyse data to identify the root causes of variability operational failures.
  • Sector experience.
  • Degree in a related discipline.
  • Change Management practitioner.
  • Experience and understanding of bespoke business solutions and operational infrastructure.
  • Excellence in personal usage of Microsoft tools.
  • Project Management.
  • Experience of using IT as a business growth engine.
