Client Details

Leading 3rd party logistics organisation.

  • Grow key relationships and ensure customer needs are met and service performance standards are delivered and improved.
  • Analyse the clients business requirements and play a key role in converting these into a working solution
  • Develop potential avenues for profitable growth – identifying key areas of focus
  • Manage the relationship with the recognised Trade Union to ensure that annual negotiations are achieved within budget levels and that day to day working relationships remain positive and harmonious.
  • Through the management team, ensure compliance with statutory and company policies on Health & Safety, Employment, legislative and Environmental issues including regular monitoring to ensure that a high profile of all of these key areas is maintained.
  • Overall management responsibility for site within agreed guidelines (both Company and statutory)
  • Lead and manage others in a customer first approach acting as a role model in demonstrating these principles. Seek to add value and exceed customer expectations.
  • Purchasing authority within budget and agreed authority guidelines
  • Support the delivery of company initiatives with HR, Finance, Systems, Health and Safety, Internal company and customer processes.
  • Lead process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coach, Lead and Motivate contract management team ensuring high performance at direct and below level

  • Excellent influencing, persuading, negotiating
  • Strong numeracy, commercial acumen and flair - ability to manage P&L, Balance Sheets etc
  • Strong problem evaluation and solution
  • Good leadership, coaching and team development
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Proven track record of success in delivering against profit targets
  • Sound Operational Background
  • Experience of managing customers at a senior level
  • Succession planning and development of key managers
  • Change management experience
  • Experience of working with Trade Unions
  • Open Book experience
  • Good knowledge of supply chain solutions
  • Critical overview of key industry legal and compliance frameworks
  • Effective Communication
  • Ability to delegate effectively
  • Able to influence peers effectively to support the strategic agenda
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation capability
  • Focus on business needs and lead the team in the right direction
