A permanent position within a renowned, global banking organisation has arisen and requires a personable, strategically-minded, motivated individual to add value to an already skilled team.

Your Next Position

As a Global Category Manager, you will be a key member of multinational networks category team, and offer effective strategic and operational leadership for this area of the business across numerous regions within the bank’s remit. Key responsibilities include:

•Successfully devising a Telecoms and Networks category management strategy for the region, incorporating all regional needs and ensuring it aligns with the objectives of local business stakeholders.

•Providing support and leadership to more junior members of the team to ensure business aims are satisfied to a high standard.

•Ensuring all category related initiatives are conducted in accordance with the organisation’s risk management policies and guidelines.

•Using strong communication and interpersonal skills In order to develop and maintain new relationships with both internal and external technology stakeholders.

The Pre-Requisites for Success

You will possess strong category management experience within the IT/Technology category, ideally with exposure to products from the Telecoms and Networks space. You should also have a private sector background, with experience from within financial services being particularly desirable, but not essential. This will be complimented by strong commercial and stakeholder management ability, in addition to possessing the skills required to negotiate supplier agreements to achieve the best results for the organisation. You will also have high levels of commercial awareness, and the know-how to plan and implement efficient sourcing strategies.
