Global Category Manager - FTSE 100 Giant - £55k + Excellent Benefits Package

Following a recent promotion, one of the UK’s leading professional services firm need an ambitious procurement professional. Their new category manager will enjoy full autonomy over a large budgetary spend, responsible for a range of indirect categories, ranging from: IT, Legal, Finance and Consulting. This is an incredibly, fast-paced and varied role within a dynamic and professional environment.

This procurement role will involve:
  • Designing and leading innovative category strategies and global strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to win support for more far-reaching procurement projects
  • Develop an intimate understanding of the organisation’s mission and supply requirements
  • Maintain supplier relations and performance to achieve best-in-class results
  • Manage suppliers to ensure that a high level of supplier performance is maintained

Desirable skills and attributes:
  • Extensive procurement experience across indirect categories
  • Consistent progression through your procurement career
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Degree / MCIPS preferred, though not essential
