A new and exciting Global HR Category Manager role has just become available with a Financial services company based in London.

Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement this role offers career progression for a Global HR Category Manager with strong stakeholder management.

As the Global HR Category Manager you will support the Head of Procurement to deliver all key projects and departmental targets. This position requires Strong knowledge of supplier markets

Global HR Category Manager Key Responsibilities:
  • On a global basis, direct and lead strategy and planning for a Procurement category to deliver competitive advantage for the business through cost savings, lifecycle value generation, demand management and innovation
  • The role is required to identify new outsourcing opportunities and assess their relevance and potential value to the organisation
  • Constantly monitoring supplier market and identify opportunities resulting from new product offerings and/or market shifts
  • Ensure alignment with all key stakeholders within Procurement and the businesses on category decisions
  • The Global HR Category Manager will manage a small team of sourcing professionals and be passionate about team leadership, development and performance management
  • Develop and maintain a global stakeholder network in a complex and dynamic business environment
  • Monitor the status of the category, and drive corrective action to ensure savings targets are achieved or exceeded
  • The spend managed by the Global HR Category Manager will be between $2bn and $4bn million USD per annum
  • Ensure quality of content and compliance with relevant sourcing and category planning governance forums
  • Significantly uplift the Procurement functions category management and sourcing capability through a comprehensive strategy including intervention in sourcing activities, rigorous governance processes and people development
  • Ensure that global agreements are established in accordance with the Global Procurement Policy (GPP)



Global HR Category Manager Experience and Skills:
  • Excellent category management skills and experience in sourcing a broad range of good and services in relevant indirect category areas, specifically HR products and services
  • Ability to commercially influence and engage across all stakeholder ranges
  • Experience managing a global team
  • Experience working in a complex global or multisite FTSE100
  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience within Financial Services industry advantageous
  • MCIPS Qualified
