This brand is a world-class financial services firm, providing professional financial services across the globe. They are currently one of the strongest performing firms, looking to grow their procurement platform that mirrors the success of the entire brand. At the moment, the company is undergoing development to their procurement function which sees an implementation of new procurement processes across the board. The company is looking for an enthusiastic team player to be an integral part of this process, supporting the Head of Procurement whilst also effectively leading the IT procurement category.



The Role

This Category Manager role sits nicely within a small team of 3 procurement specialists working together to deliver on the firm’s requirements surrounding IT, Market Data and Facilities, across all their offices worldwide. You will use your exceptional negotiation skills to effectively support and manage competitive bid processes to relentlessly maximise service delivery and value for money across the board. By analytically identifying and understanding the varying departments’ complex requirements, you’ll recognise savings solutions across the full procurement lifecycle to create a record of cost containment within an intriguing and competitive environment. Using your developed stakeholder management skills, you will review and where necessary, either maintain previous strategies or develop and pitch better strategies that follow with business demands.



Required Skills and Experience
  • Prior experience working within IT procurement/ Market Data/ Facilities Management, preferably within the Financial Services sector.
  • Substantial stakeholder and supplier management capabilities with specific focus on improving procurement practises.
  • Prior sourcing experience within a blue chip company and a track record of delivering savings within a challenging environment
  • Excellent commercial awareness and knowledge of the relevant marketplace, vendors and new technologies
  • Qualified to degree level, CIPS desired
