My client is a multi temperature distribution specialist and they are looking for a future Transport Manager to be responsible for managing drivers and routing schedules.

My client is looking to meet Transport Planners or Transport Coordinators who are ideally degree educated and are looking for the next step in their career.

A leading multi-temp food distribution business based in Worcester.

Description



The Graduate Transport Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Organise and lead the focus on improved productivity targets Day to day management of driver colleagues
  • Delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements
  • Design and implement the daily routing schedule
  • Assist Senior Managers with daily and weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished i.e. staffing, equipment, space
  • Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures Deliver team members performance reviews
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance issues in line with HR policy Ensure Company policies are communicated, implemented and enforced where appropriate
  • Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for colleagues
  • Responsibility for all issues relating to health & safety and the environment Ensure operations are legally compliant to all relevant transport legislation
  • Manage drivers in accordance to Company policy in regard to Drivers Infringements and Accidents



Profile

The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Between 1 - 3 years experience in transport; operations or planning
  • Degree educated - advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of Transport operations and legislation
  • Previous Management experience
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Requirements
  • Passion for Transport & Logistics



Job Offer

£30,000 - £35,000 + benefits.
