Group Procurement Manager for Professional Services across European remit.

This European retailer host hundreds of sites across mainland Europe and have recently created group level frameworks and process across their many operating companies. This organisation are a leader in their field and employ thousands of professionals across the regions, and sell to millions of customers on a weekly basis!

Your new role
As the Group Procurement Manager you will report to the Head of Purchasing, and will be driving procurement strategies within the “professional and business services” category. This is a fairly broad role across professional services, however across the 11 month contract you will be heavily influencing major projects related to consultancy and contingent workforce spend.

In this role you will be heavily influencing a group of diverse and senior stakeholders and ensuring they are being educated on the procurement process and policies in order to drive efficiencies within the business at group level. You will be confident enough to challenge business requirements and put together long term strategies for procurement.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be highly analytical in order to identify procurement opportunities and be a strong influencer and negotiator. You will be a driving force enabling a huge step-change performance for procurement. You will have prior experience within the professional services category, and if you speak French this is a plus! (but not essential)

What you'll get in return
This role is a group level role with brilliant projects to get stuck into. Your role is a maternity cover so initially for 11 months, and 15% travel will be required to France mainly.
