Head of Procurement: Construction/Utilities - Global Blue Chip Company – Leeds/Manchester - £70k + package

This FTSE100 major with an acclaimed ‘best in class’ procurement function seeks a Head of Procurement with a breadth of procurement experience in the construction and/or utilities space. You will manage a team of up to 8 and manage the end to end procurement and contract management lifecycle, working with NEC3, FDIC and JIT contracts.

It’s an incredible opportunity for a procurement leader to shape a procurement function in line with your commercial initiative and vision, and drive towards your ultimate goal or becoming a formidable CPO.

Head of Procurement Responsibilities:
  • Knowledgeable in the construction industry, with a comprehensive understanding of subcontracts (JCT, NEC3, FDIC or equivalent)
  • Experience leading a procurement, contract, commercial team on successful projects in the construction, utilities, infrastructure, power or utilities industry
  • Creating, developing and executing key procurement strategies to push the business forward and meet procurement objectives
  • Liaising with major stakeholders and clients to ensure expansion

This construction procurement expert will have:
  • Proven track record of success in the construction, infrastructure, utilities, or power space in a procurement or contract management capacity large construction company
  • CIPS or RICS qualification (preferably)
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent people skills or background as a Quantity Surveyor
