The Role

To oversee the procurement and supply chain activity of; works, goods and services with a focus on the following: Compliance, Value for Money, Sustainability, Sourcing, Contract Management and Commercial Awareness. Developing strategy, policy and procedures for the procurement and supply chain and ensure these are adhered to by all staff involved in any procurement processes.

Duties and responsibilities associated with the role include:

  • Operational management of the procurement process
  • Develop, implement and maintain a Request for Information (RFI) process to search the market for potential products and services suppliers
  • Develop, implement and maintain a Request for Quotations (RFQ) process to capture and manage business proposals (Quotations) made by new and existing suppliers
  • Price negotiations – Services & Parts for WTGs’ including any requirements needed for the wind farm such as; Civil works, Plant, HV, warehouse, Inspections, consumables etc.
  • Procure to Pay cycle – P2P
  • Responsibility for the development, implementation and competent governance of a spare parts business for the Renewable industry
  • Preparing and presenting business plans
  • Developing budgets aligned to NP business plan
  • The post-holder will be required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be expected. 
  • All members of staff are expected to be professional, co-operative and flexible within the needs of the post, the department and the Company.
  • Duties of the post could vary from time to time as a result of new legislation, changes in technology or policy.  In this event, appropriate training will be provided.



  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Significant commercial experience in contract negotiations, budget development and management.
  • Focussed on quality and continuous improvement with experience in the procurement of spare parts.
  • Previous exposure to dealing with multiple clients and stakeholders with demonstrable experience of value saving for clients.
  • Highly organised, detail orientated with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate across all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills to enable clear and concise information to be effectively communicated to colleagues, clients and 3rd parties in both written and verbal format.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office with strong IT skills.
  • Due to travel requirements within the role scope a full driving licence must be held and applicants must be available for national and international travel


  • Previous experience within renewable energy/automotive or aerospace industry would be highly advantageous.
  • Member, or working towards membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS)
  • Lead Auditor ISO9001
  • MBA Qualified
