HR Procurement Category Specialist – Leading FTSE30 Retailer - Surrey - £48,000 + Package

As part of an executive sponsored programme to centralise a £100m+ HR spend, this iconic Blue Chip brand is looking to place an up-and-coming Procurement expert from any category discipline into a newly created Global HR Procurement Category Specialist position. If you have progressed quickly within your Procurement & Strategic Sourcing career and are looking to fast-track your career, this is a brilliant opportunity.



HR Procurement Category Specialist position overview:-

  • Working closely with the Global Category Leader to define and implement the overall centralisation strategy for this green / brown field procurement spend area
  • Autonomously owning ‎the cradle to grave procurement process for high-value deals, designing and rolling out truly global category and sourcing strategies
  • ‎Collaborating with Regional Category Leaders across the globe to initiate and deliver transformational change
  • Building strategic vendor partnerships, generating cost savings but also longer term win-wins for the Firm and their suppliers



Required background:-
  • Strong indirect procurement background, ideally within HR or Professional Services, however procurement is seen as a transferable skill within this organisation
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
