Import/Export Officer / Lancaster / £22,000 - £25,000

Your new company

You will join a sector leading manufacturer with global customers and a strong history in its market place.

Your new role
  • You will provide a strong administrative support with the Commercial Services Team and ensure that all orders and shipments are expedited in a timely manner.
  • To collate export documentation, provide shipping support within the Shipping Team.
  • Monitor the daily export process to ensure all export freight processes are being followed.
  • Process quotation which involves detailed pricing and calculation
  • Preparing and processing customer orders, acknowledgements and order related updates
  • Daily liaising with factory regarding lead times and delivery updates
  • Prepare and provide export documentation in accordance with the terms of shipment to ensure timely despatch of orders
  • Daily liaison with credit control to ensure the customers’ accounts are in order
  • Dealing with appointed freight forwarders on a daily basis to ensure goods are exported according to country regulations.
  • Daily liaison with numerous warehouses
  • Continuous monitoring of shipments from point of despatch through to delivery ensuring that the documentation relevant to Incoterms 2010 are adhered to

What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum of 3 years Import/Export experience required
  • Strong computer knowledge (e.g. Microsoft office)
  • IATA/IMDG Dangerous goods trained – Desired but training can be given
  • Understanding of customs formalities
  • Familiar with INCOTERMS 2010 - Desired
