The company: I am currently partnering with a successful manufacturing firm to recruit an Indirect Buyer for their growing team. This fast-moving organisation have grown significantly in recent years and as they prepare for further growth, they are looking to implement structure, process and strategy cement the foundations needed for continued success

The role: The Indirect Buyer will play a pivotal role as part of the purchasing team in line with processes and strategy to deliver direction and benefit to the business in terms of savings and profitability. You'll be responsible for consumable and service procurement, covering, but not limited to IT, telecoms, production, service agreements, facilities and marketing.

Your career progression: Reporting to the Indirect Purchasing Manager, the Indirect Buyer will be provided autonomy in a supportive environment. You'll be given opportunity to develop your career through expanding your responsibilities, coupled with performance related career progression as you develop and the team grows.

Day to day tasks will include:

* Ensuring continuous supply of required goods and materials

* Researching and evaluating areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible

* Developing and tracking KPIs for supplier performance

* Developing and implementing creative procurement processes

* Negotiate contracts, improve pricing and terms of business with suppliers

* Asses tenders and quotations from potential suppliers

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* An FMCG/Manufacturing/Engineering background with a technical mindset

* The ability to read/understand technical drawings and specifications

* You will be of graduate calibre and studying towards the qualification or prepared to begin this

* Strong commercial awareness demonstrated in purchasing functions

* Experience within a multi-site environment

* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage, engage with and influence stakeholders and suppliers at various levels
