Indirects Procurement Manager – Transforming Local Authority – Hampshire - £50-55k

Location: Hampshire

Salary: £50-55k

Job Type: Permanent

This role with an innovative local authority provides the opportunity to manage procurement strategy within the broad Operational Services category. The focus of the role lies in Facilities Management, Fleet & Environmental Services, but talented generalists that can positively impact the function will be valued equally by the organisation. Transforming and driving procurement strategy are at the heart of this dynamic opportunity within the public sector.

Indirects Procurement Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process across the Operational Services category, including, but not limited to; FM, Fleet & Environmental Services
  • Work along the existing procurement team to optimise strategy and drive best practise
  • Engage and encourage buy-in from key stakeholders across the organisation
  • Deliver robust contracts in line with OJEU requirements
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and achieve savings in key areas

Key Skills & Attributes required:
  • Category management experience within the Public Sector
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and problem solving experience within a procurement function
  • Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Strong organisational and commercial skills, the ability to identify pinch points as well as potential opportunities for the procurement function.
