This Public sector healthcare organisation are entering a period of dynamic change resulting in a number of new collaborations and projects. It is imperative that departments can synchronise their objectives to one common objective to improve and streamline existing care to their customers.

The organisation is able to support all senior staff with a new programme designed to up skill each individual on people management strategy and leadership. The organisation has a community culture and chooses to adopt a supportive environment to contract and interim staff.

Your new role

This role is a 5 month Interim position reporting to the Head of Transformation and Delivery.

Working closely with the Head of Delivery Support and Head of Service Improvement they will collaboratively pull together major programmes and manage them under a single umbrella and governance structure. They will ensure programmes are aligned and duplication is avoided, build and follow a programme approach underpinned by clear PMO principles, understand and manage interdependencies along with identifying and deriving the optimum benefits from our improvement programmes.

A key area will be Cost Improvement Programmes (CIP) and there will be a number of financial heads reporting into this position. There is both a Commercial and a Leadership element to this role in rolling out the programme changes across several categories of spending.

What you'll need to succeed

The post holder will be responsible for developing the programme management approach, implementation framework, universal governance and monitoring framework for a suite of programmes across the Trust. Core responsibilities of the role include;
  • Developing the capacity, capability and function of the PMO
  • CIP reporting and support
  • Trust strategy implementation plans (including supporting strategies from workforce, estates etc)
  • Divisional transformation / business plans
  • Service improvement programmes
