Interim IT Procurement Manager opportunity to lead a range of technology procurement categories in UK & Europe, providing sourcing expertise to support multiple functions.

Advises and supports senior management to effectively and efficiently manage supplier expenditure, delivery and risk management with vendors to attain strategic business goals. This is achieved through determining and implementing sourcing strategies for the designated range of tech categories and providing commercial leadership across all procurement related activities.


Procurement experience and strong market knowledge of IT and Consultancy suppliers especially in the areas of software, hardware and professional services.

Educated to degree level
Postgraduate procurement accreditation preferred (MCIPS)

Minimum ten years sourcing experience in complex markets

Proven track record in relevant categories, with comparable levels of spend and complexity

Proven capability in negotiating complex sourcing deals with many non-price variables

High levels of subject matter expertise, with deep market and vendor knowledge

Demonstrable influencing skills and senior stakeholder management (with credibility up to CxO level)

Excellent team leadership and communication skills

Good procurement transformation experience and change leadership capability

Energy, pace and an impeccable track record of delivery

Ability to manage cross organisational boundaries and understand political drivers and influencers

Familiarity of current and evolving regulatory frameworks by financial regulators

Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills at the CxO level.

Works collaboratively and demonstrates sound business, commercial and ethical judgement.

Experienced in working with global teams in a matrix structure; Strong team building skills, adept at managing conflict.

Proficient in program management, including stakeholder management.

Excellent analytic skills, including financial analysis and excel modelling.

Comfortable in managing competing demands on time, priorities in ambiguous situations.

Flexibility and balanced outlook is essential.
