Leading retailer requires an Interim Logistics Systems Project Manager for a period of 6 months to assist in the second phase of a £75m+ overall spend transformation programme.

Client Details

Leading multi-channel retailer, with a strong UK and international brand presence, with a location in Manchester.


Risk management -All aspects of a formal risk management process, including the continual use of risk management tools and documents. Demonstrates qualitative and quantitative methods to assess risk; risk responses; iterative nature of response planning

Change control - All aspects of the change control process throughout major programme. Demonstrates how and when to update relevant plans, schedules and communications to reflect approved changes; and how and when to manage approved changes within the configuration management system.

Schedule and resource management - The development and maintenance of work breakdown structure, complex linked project plan including duration estimates and resource allocation schedule for a major programme with typically more than 1000 activities.

Project management planning - The preparation and maintenance, and has contributed to many aspects of a project management plan (e.g. PMP or PID) for a major business and IT programme.

Project and programme methodology -Successfully applied on a Major complex business & IT programme.


The successful Interim Logistics Systems Project Manager must have:
  • At least 5 years experience of Project Delivery in a logistics distribution and supply chain environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong skillset of project management and formal governance across a number of sectors and technology related business changes.
  • Have a strong track record of management of operational start ups or infrastructure upgrades, including complex logistics automation and systems integration.
  • PRINCE2 or AGILE qualified
  • Be able to live/commute to site in Manchester
  • Be able to start at short notice

Job Offer

The successful Interim Logistics Systems Project Manager will be offered between £400 and £500 per day dependent on experience within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
