1st Executive are retained by a global FTSE100 manufacturing organisation, who are seeking a Data Analyst with some knowledge / exposure working in procurement/sourcing/supply chain functions.

Job Purpose:

The job holder will serve as a dedicated Data Quality and Master Data resource to the P2P Project Team. Will provide assistance to the Work stream lead and senior analyst for vendor data cleansing and other migration activities that will occur during the project, working in partnership with other project team members from Business, IT, external integration partner and SAP Ariba external partners under the guidance of the Data Quality Manager.

Will support efforts to fulfill the SAP Ariba solution that also aligns with the company global data strategy. Will assist as the liaison between the Global Data Quality Team and the Project Team. Assists in finding data standardization and harmonization options between multiple ERP systems (SAP and Microsoft Axapta) and Ariba. Requires knowledge of vendor master in SAP; knowledge and demonstrable use of known P2P or ERP systems.

Project Activities:
  • Carry out Data cleansing activities in SAP for Vendor master and other relevant master data, and data cleansing in Ariba, Meet regularly with the Global Data Quality team to ensure alignment between S&N standards, other projects such as NAPO (North America Optimisation Project)
  • Assist in validating and loading data per the project requirements during Realization/Build and unit testing
  • Participate in all activities of testing in relation to data quality and master data management, to include development of test scenarios and test scripts, conduct functional, integration and user acceptance testing, and final data validation after the first deployment
  • Support Organization Change Management efforts to include defining appropriate end-user training to communicate data quality, controls, and usage of the data
  • Conduct data quality audits as required by the Global Data Quality Team to help ensure standards are met
  • Work with the DQO Work stream lead to define appropriate service and support activities
  • Conduct knowledge transfer to the Global Data Quality Team after the first deployment to ensure a smooth transition

Required knowledge and experience:
  • A level or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business area and/or 4 years related experience in data management
  • Preferable to have knowledge with one or more existing product data models.
  • Able to assess and communicate risks related to product data quality and/or resources
  • Able to analyse problems, identify and specify solutions working with the business and IT
  • Advanced Excel knowledge in creating, comparing and manipulating master vendor data and other relevant data, VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy during data validation
  • Organization and communications skills. Experience working in a team environment and able to work collaboratively with others
