1st Executive are retained by a global FTSE100 FMCG Organisation, who require an experienced procurement professional with a strong, versatile track record across various indirect spend categories within a period of strategic procurement and sourcing capability growth across the organisation. An excellent role for the right candidate, this will provide a unique experience in an environment geared towards global strategic performance.

Job role:
  • Working with business stakeholders to identify supply and demand opportunities and drive procurement activity to deliver value to the division;
  • Implementation of sourcing initiatives in alignment with applicable market sector and commodity strategies, led by the division and other procurement teams within the group;
  • Understanding local business objectives, engaging and challenging internal stakeholders;
  • Delivery of agreed financial targets, including cost and working capital benefits;
  • Delivery of agreed compliance targets, including contract compliance.

Key accountabilities:
  • Identify and deliver sourcing projects to support the indirect procurement categories, in collaboration with stakeholders;
  • Supplier selection, negotiation and performance management through rigorous cost and value analysis, and use of e-enabled tools where appropriate
  • Ensure all sourcing arrangements are fully compliant to company processes.
  • Support supplier selection, negotiation and contracting.
  • Integrate suppliers, supporting the implementation of new contracts and ensuring efficient change process, and execute roll out of new suppliers and switch out.
  • Routinely communicate with key business stakeholders to ensure Procurement objectives are aligned with business objectives, and that compliance performance, issues and corrective actions are understood
  • Work with global Indirect Procurement team to relay divional needs and implement global sourcing strategies locally
  • Leverage and collaborate with other group Procurement teams to deliver value to the division
  • Identification of business requirements
  • Spend analysis and market assessment
  • Supply market analysis and segmentation
  • Develop market sector sourcing plans and agree with stakeholders
  • Support supplier management, including ongoing contract management and control
  • Identify and select key suppliers for continuous improvement through rigorous cost and value analysis

Required Experience:
  • Relevant functional procurement experience, ideally across multiple category spends.
  • Experience of negotiating with suppliers and using contract templates
  • Experience dealing with global and regional companies
  • Working within a global, complexly structured blue-chip organisation
  • Experience of working independently and/or with a remote manager

Desirable Experience:
  • Additional languages to English, particularly German or Italian
  • Experience using tier-1 eSourcing system experience (i.e. Oracle Fusion, SAP Ariba etc)
  • Engineering and/or production equipment/services category experience
